We have arrived in Beijing!
We left home at 2:00 am and headed to Papa and Nan's who drove us to the airport. We had a 6:00 am flight from Nashvile to Newark. Kasen did sleep some on this flight. We had time to eat and walk around in the Newark airport before our noon flight to Beijing. Kasen finally slept at around hour 12 of the 14 hour flight. There was a lot of things to do like watching movies and tv shows, playing games, asking Mommy "how much longer until we get there" and asking Daddy "what time is it?"
We were met at the airport by Mary and Miranda. Mary remembered us from 2005 when she picked us up at the airport on our trip for Kasen. They got us safely to the Huadu Hotel which is where we stayed on our last trip. A note of interest, when they found out we were from Tennessee they said "Oh, Elvis is from there". We unpacked just a little and took about a 3 hour nap. I woke up around 7:30 pm and we went downstairs for dinner. We are just about to call it a day. It is 10:15 pm on Thursday night (we are 13 hours ahead of you at home).
Our guide, Peter, will be meeting us in the lobby at 8:30 am for a big day of touring.
